This North-American spec 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser is a limited edition build from Expeditions 7, Inc. Designed and built over the course of three years with partner, Maltec Leichtbautechnologie of Germany, this vehicle is the only immediately available Land Cruiser Maltec truck on the market. The E7 200M has been test driven and hailed by Expedition Portal as the “Ultimate Toyota Overlander”.

The E7 200M is modified with a custom carbon fiber expedition cabin built for two to sleep, eat, and travel extensively in. The pass-through cabin features teak flooring and countertops, built-in fridge, sleeping platform, bench seating, fold-down table, vent windows, LED lighting, touchscreen control panel, pressurized hot water, solar power, Kenwood transceiver, Webasto cabin heater, portable JetBoil stove, and Snowpeak titanium tableware. Shore power and outdoor shower ports are located on the exterior. Thermal panels for the roof tent are also provided for comfortable four season travel.

A gullwing compartment integrated in the cabin is accessed from the passenger side to store a full size spare and recovery tools. The vehicle is equipped with a total of six matching Heritage Edition 18” BBS forged wheels powdercoated in Lorge Grey and mounted with 285/75 BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A tires. The secondary spare is located beneath the expedition cabin. Additional accessories include:
  • (2) MaxTrax MKII recovery boards
  • (2) sand ladders
  • HornTools awning
  • (2) Zarges aluminum storage boxes

The base vehicle is a Heritage Edition 200-series acquired new in 2021. This is the last Land Cruiser platform to be powered by a 5.7-liter V8, factory rated at 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft torque. The vehicle is an eight-speed automatic transmission with dual-transfer case, and a Torsen limited-slip center differential.

Best of breed aftermarket parts and accessories were acquired for this build and installed in Murray, Utah by Land Cruiser build specialist, Cruiser Outfitters, and include:
  • ARB front and rear air lockers
  • Old Man Emu suspension
  • New gears to 3.9091:1
  • 12.5-gallon auxiliary fuel tank
  • Safari Armax Snorkel
  • Baja Designs Lighting
  • Slee Offroad bumper, sliders, and skid plate system
  • Warn Zeon 12-S winch with synthetic cable
  • ARB twin onboard air compressor

All contributors to the E7 200M build have substantial world travel experience. Channeling that knowledge into a new design not only commemorates the original expedition, it gives a chance to equip new explorers with the best tools available. This vehicle is finished in Blizzard Pearl with E7 graphics that include a hood-adhered map displaying routes completed on the original Expeditions 7 journey. The vehicle listed here is labeled and represents the continent of Europe. Current odometer read is 61-miles.

Maltec took 3yrs to build? They've built other 200 "Pathenger's" (at least 1 was still for sale awhile back, but not currently viewable as the Maltec site has been untrustworthy for over 6mos now), so I'd expect the recipe is known.
Did this Heritage until take longer than normal for a specific reason?
