Easy way to lift up a Flip-Pac: Trailer jack!

I picked up a nice trailer jack off of Craigslist over the weekend. A near new triton.

Worked like a charm to lift up my flippac. I wanted to put a small shim along each bed rail, then re-did the seal tape.

It honestly couldn't have been easier. I unbolted all the bolts, then lifted one side. I put 3 short wood blocks as a safety in case the jack skipped/dropped. Then jacked that side down & did the other side.

It even lifted enough so that I could add a layer of foam along the cab side of the bed (I did that in 2 halfs).

- For folks with a garage, or wanting to make a "jig" for there flippac, you could probably get away with 1 jack. Lift 1 side put blocks under rails. Drop the flippac onto the blocks, move the jack to the other side & repeat.

You could then put your lumber under & hoist away.

I thought I had taken a few pictures of it being lifted, but I guess not. :(

I did find one before I started, just to give a better idea.
