I posted this on ebay, but wanted to throw it up on expo as well. The mounts are made for a Isuzu Trooper factory roof rack.

Since it's aluminum I wonder if the Surco rack's sides are strong enough to hold a HiLift (72") or for that matter if the fatigue over time would destroy the rack?

No experience with holding a HiLift, although there are pictures on Surco's sight of jacks being side mounted. As for aluminum and fatigue over time, Surco is a big name in the rack game. I figure they didn't get to where they are by building trash.
