econline side windows - options

hi - does anyone know of a place to get these style slide windows? I inquired with sportsmobile west and they're $500+! i'd consider one that is fixed glass, if that we're an option. i mainly want it to let light in and so i can have a better view out of the passenger upper rear side when driving.

on a somewhat related note..anyone have a creative solution for fitting a throwback bubble (or tear drop, parallelagram, etc) flat window into the curve of the econoline side? sometype of interior wedge on the bottom?

also...has anyone ever used a window from a one of the side barn doors? i might have to be careful of popping it out since I have a slider side door, but it seems like the contour would be there?

thanks for input and suggestions.

ps - it's been a while since i posted. here's a couple pics of Ida...

I want to get the interior insulated and paneled in the next few months. hence the interest in cutting in a window...

Hey - that's my van on top. It's a stock Sportsmobile build - came with the van. Dig your van. Wish I would have had the time to do the interior build myself. Good luck with it!

The Ford side swing door windows had the option of being opened. They are hinged at the top. Or, just get the glass from a sealed window and a gasket. Either way the vertical curve is made to fit this body.

I'd buy a used pickup truck cap and pull the windows out. I'd find one with the window doors for easy access and a ton of airflow.

^^^ love the looks from afar, but hate how they dont sit flush against the body up close. otherwise i would have picked a frameless up myself. ive seen a couple of people having issues with the windows falling off too.

Those are CRL windows, quality sucks compared to OEM, but everyone uses them.

of course they suck compared to oem, but theres no oem slider/screen options either. what exactly dont you like about them? ive had mine in for a year or so with zero issues. there site licks balls, but it at least has dimensions for their windows. they are easy as hell to install and the fitment of the one i got fit perfectly where the oem window would be on a passenger. visually, id want an oem window, but thats not possible due to differences between cargo and passenger from the factory. crl is the only one that mimics the exact shape of that window so it doesnt look completely out of place and follows the factory bodylines. most people could care less, but im super anal bout crap like that.

Personally I love the look of frameless.

Im running dual pane frameless tip-out Hehr windows in my camper, couldn't be happier.

Are the Kinro available in dual pane do you know?

Kenny I think mine are Hehr as well not Kinro, my bad. I went with them as they were a true 2" depth
