Electrical Supplies in Tucson?

Anyone know where to find quality electrical wiring components in Tucson? I'm looking for some heavier gauge twisted wire, 4 - 6 gauge and the various terminal ends to go with it (ring terminals etc.) The typical sources of hardware store and autoparts stores don't seem to have anything that large. They seem to stop in 8 or 10 gauge range.

Possibly Outlet Electric on Prince/Mountain.
Or a stereo install store.

Good luck Kyle and let me know where you scored your parts.

I actually stopped there today and they didn't recommend the wire that they had for an automotive application... They didn't really say why... and I didn't ask. I wasn't going to argue when they were telling me NOT to buy what they had in their store.

I ended up at batteries plus and Merles. Both sell the heavier gauge wire, but Merles only sells it in 100ft lengths. Batteries plus sells it in 25 foot lengths... at least that is what it is labeled, but when you get it home and start your project it shrinks 10 feet.

Luckily, I over estimated and had a foot to spare. They didn't seem overly concerned when I called them and told it was 10 feet short of what it was marked. They checked another 25 ft coil they had in the store and it was only 13 ft, so I guess I got lucky on that. I was able to finish my project where I wouldn't have been able to w/ the other roll. Next time I'm back over there I'll see what they will do to make it good.

Both Merles and Batteries Plus had limited supplies of ring terminals/fuses etc. but they had enough to finish up my project. The only thing I'm not happy with is one of the connectors I used to wire the fuse. It is readily accessible by the battery, so I will redo that when I find a suitable connector. Either that or I will just do what I probably should have done in the first place and solder it/shrink wrap it.

For what it is worth, I was wiring a power inverter in the Jetta to power my laptop/printer for work. There have been several times where my battery has died on long trips/days and also several occasions where I need to print a document or two and I'm in some backwoods town w/o a kinkos or local copy shop.
