Electronic Suspension & other general troubleshooting questions

Hey Everyone,

I bought a 97 SR a few months ago and have had a great time getting to know the vehicle. I have a couple of questions on some things I havnt dealt with before on a vehicle, my previous was an 02 xterra with a manual, no bells or whistles.

I raised my torsion bars and put a set of 31s under it I had on the xterra and I notice that it droops a bit in the back after a few thousand miles. I cant tell if the servos in the suspension are working anymore and was wondering how to troubleshoot. Are there any fuses? Do they make a noticeable difference? Should i just replace them? Im eventually going with ome springs but Id like to get the elec suspension working.

Next I cant for the life of me get the sunroof to open at a reasonable rate. I know its a common problem but cant seem to find the thread addressing the issue by cleaning the cables and possibly changing the motor. Cant find a new one online either.

Lastly I have an O2 sensor code like most vehicles of that time period. Does this code make a difference in efficiency or hp or is it just an annoyance like on other vehicles. If it does where is the weak link in the system? I know most of the time there is a problem up stream that causes the sensors to go bad.

I'm Getting Around To It
The only function of the suspension switch is to alter the valving on the shocks. It does nothing regarding ride height. The servos are atop each shock like a "hat." Verify operation with a helper moving the switch while you feel each one to make sure the motor inside is turning.
Regarding the sunroof, I just open it fully and spray everything that looks like a contact point with silicone spray, then mine just flat whizzes open and closed. Silicone works well because it doesn't get gummy and resists water.
Your upstream O2 sensors alter mixture, etc.; the rear ones don't do much but report. Figure out which ones are coding and replace. The hard part is getting the connectors undone - they're tucked up in there pretty tight.
