Here's a pretty interesting M116A2 trailer with a tool enclosure. Looks like it has potential. Surplus auction starts 6/10; ends 6/12.

Depending on how high this auction ends up going, you could probably part everything out except the trailer and end up paying for most of it.

Good luck to anyone who bids on it.

It definitely has some potential to be a really trick trailer, but I noticed they valued it at $52,000.00 (!!!) Whats up with that? I saw the "tools" it comes with and I just dont see where they get this figure. Having a wife that is a project manager for new multi-million dollar construction projects for the US military, I know pricing gets a little rediculous with Gov. stuff, but 52 grand??

Is this the case of the $800 dollar hammer thing that people joke about or what? Maybe I am missing something.

Maybe there was some high-dollar equipment that was removed. Perhaps a generator, a hydraulic press, a pipe vise, and a small nuclear power plant.

There are also about 90 M101A1 trailers up in far northeastern California that go up for auction beginning Monday. I plan to get one and use it as a utility trailer for hauling rocks and gravel. I'll take it out into the desert a few times and if it isn't too big, I'll convert it into an expedition trailer.

It looked like it had parts for a tubing bender of some kind, and there was some kind of a hydraulic ram with a lever shown, too. There is definitely some cool gear on it.
