Who just bought a new engel? THIS GUY :victory:

Thanks so much for the heads up, $589 delivered for the fridge and a slide lock is a great deal!

Congratulations on the purchase!

I need a way to gets these deals sent to my cell phone so I can jump quicker.

haha, yea... i was just researching fridges last night and was going to pull the trigger on a new one from sierra expeditions, and then logged in to see this post and knew it was fate :jump:

Hey congrats!

That was a great price, especially with the Slide-Lock thrown in. Just in time for summer -

Now to investigate a dual battery setup... How long do you guys think I could safely run this off my current optima red top between starting the truck, 12 hours?

Depends upon Ambient temps,.. but yeah on a hot day you can make it overnight and through out the morning, then i'd fire the truck back up.

Nice find! The answer to your question is....it depends. With a transit bag, set at 1.5 to 2 on the dial, and full, I try to start my engine 1x per day when I'm just sitting around....of course I just got back from using it and didn't start the rig for 2 days...no problemo...

How long should you let your rig run to recharge the battery?

Dang, that guy is from my neck of the woods too(Charleston/Summerville, SC)! I was about to call my parents and have them stop by and pick it up... Oh well, good find!

Alright, depending on ambients sounds like 8 hours at a low setting is a safe bet. Good question, how long should i let the truck idle if not driving it to get back to a full charge. '04 tacoma stock alternator

Is a transit bag worth getting? at $125 its a non trivial part of the total price.

Its going to go in the cab of a '04 extended cab tacoma and thus fully complete the transition from camping with a truck along, to a rolling 3 star hotel :bigbossHL:

do you ever get to utah/new mexico, an appropriate finders fee can be delivered on an outing... out of the engel
