Engel thermometer and light

Hey guys, just grabbed an Engel 45 from Expedition Exchange. I found a small, cheap, simple thermometer at PetSmart and I happened to have an extra dot light around.

I think they're both good additions. The dot light took a bit of grinding, and is held with velcro.

Looks interesting. How is the remote temp sensor attached to the readout? Is it just a wire with the sensor hanging off the end or what? I would like to add an external temp readout on mine too.

The thermometer has a wired probe that I just ran through the bag, around to the back. It's got a little suction cup to hold it in place. It was $10 in the reptile section. It take a little watch battery (included). I just put a bit of velcro to it, and stuck it to the bag.

They also had one for the same price in the fish section, that was selectable between air temp and the probe temp. It also has a clock and is back-lit. I bought one for another application, and it was also $10. For some reason, it's $20 online, but I'm sure I paid $10.
