Hello all, I've got some stuff done on the truck and wanted to share...

First, I'll apologized in advance for all the pics. I wanted to show anyone that's shopping for lifts exactly what they'll get from OME & Toytec before they spend the money.

I got the OME 885 coils on and a set of Dakar leaves. I got a small vibration after the lift, which I thought was the rear driveshaft - more on that later.

At this point, I didn't really like the rake this gave. I thought it was too high in the rear. So then came a 1/2" Toytec spacer (Part # TOP1-T), along with the diff drop kit, extended rear brake lines, and rear axle shims. Here's a pic after spacer was installed:

So back to the vibration - Like a said, the vibration was small, but it still bugged me so I bought the rear shims. Then after installing the Toytec spacer, the vibration became a little smaller. Didn't really make sense to me but it told me my vibration was in the front end, so I didn't install the shims.

Next come the tires. I'd been wanting the Cooper STTs, but I saw the Maxxis Bighorns and liked them too. After some research and price comparisons, a set of 265/75 Bighorns showed up at the door. Sorry for yet another driveway poser pic, but that's all I have right now.

Navigation:
I ordered a laptop base mount from RAM mounts and built the stand using a pipe nipple and flanges. I got the friction joint from a friend (thanks BigTaco) and built the top platform from two el-cheapo plastic cutting boards with rubber shock absorbers sandwich in-between (overkill, I know). I've got a Garmin GPSmap 76CS (not shown in pic) hooked to the laptop running Garmin NRoute. My Pioneer head unit has an aux input that allows me to hook the laptop up to the stereo so I've got turn-by-turn directions and all my iTunes music over my speakers. I love this setup. Also installed an inverter under the seat to run the computer.

SWEET RIDE !!! :jumping:

Tell me about the spacers - where do they install and what are they made of?

I think the vibration you are experiencing (a take off and only lasting a second or two???) is coming from the rearm but would like to do some more research on this before I comment.

Great write up too! Thanks for posting!

They are 1/2" thick aluminum spacers (though they are marketed by Toytec as giving 3/4" of lift). I forgot to take a measurement before I had the tires mounted to verify this (I took original measurements from the ground to bottom of fender). They install between the strut top plate and the top strut mount.
