My company is called Equipt Expedition Outfitters. We have really enjoyed owning this truck. It has spent the last 5 years with us as a permanent display in our showroom with a couple adventures to Overland Expos as a feature vehicle. But it’s time for us to move on to other opportunities. It will be a great addition for the next owner. It’s a real eye turner, and in great condition. Is it flawless? No. It has its own character, and it’s a 40 year old truck. We have brought it a long way back to where it is now.

This FJ60 is a bit of a Unicorn. Maybe one in a hundred 60 Series trucks are converted to V8 the way this one is. Under the hood is a Ford Windsor 351 V8 Race Engine, combined with the Ford C6 Transmission and a Dana 300 Transfer Case. The engine pushes 400 HP. From the outside it looks like a pretty stock lifted truck, but it is far from it underneath. It stands on 35” BFG AT KO2s, mounted on Method Rims. A 4” lift from leaf springs gives it a bit of height, and the Bilstein shocks smooth out the ride. The front and back are armored in Dissent Offroad Aluminum bumpers. The roof holds our benchmark Eezi-Awn K9 roof rack, soft shell XKLUSIV tent, and Swift awning.

Inside you will find the original interior upholstery in great shape, under the first set of Escape Gear Light Khaki Seat Covers in the US. This truck was used as the prototype for them. We replaced the entire carpet kit, with matching floor mats. We also re-upholstered the door panels with matching carpet to complete the look. In the back is a full Goose Gear drawer system and Camp Kitchen. To complete this, we added a National Luna Legacy Smart 50L Fridge Freezer. There is a secondary slide out for a stove as well. The drawer is lined with an Alubox RuumX divider system for elegant storage of your gear. The fridge is powered by the National Luna DC25 Power Pack. A portable DC-DC auxiliary battery management system with a 100 Ah Lithium battery inside. A connection for solar charging is there too.

Couldn't tell from the engine bay pics. Is the engine fuel injected or carbureted. and would any of the transfer case modifications come in the way of a long range fuel tank by LRA? Curious as I am assuming range may be an issue with the thirsty engine - vehicle combination. Thanks

It is carbureted. The plan was a Sniper set up like my FJ40, but didn’t get there. It has the stock axles in traditional location. I don’t believe there would be a conflict with adding an LRA tank. I had one of those in my 200 and loved it!!
