Hello again.
Want to tell you about my expedition of lifetime. At 2012, me and my friends decide to do something, what no one manage to do before. We know about one village in Kola peninsula, where live about 500 people, but there is no road! Only when winter comes and swamps freeze, they do iceroad. This road work for 6-8 month, after that, in summer, only connection with civilization is helicopter. This village name is Krasnoshelje (Краснощелье
67.349179, 37.054550 (google maps coordinates).
We decide, that we can be first, who will do that with vehicles with tires - ATV. To be honest, in warm summer its possible to get there with track vehicle GTS (see at picture below) but not every driver agree to do that, because, if this 11 ton beast will stuck, it will be hard to get it out
The main problem to get there, is swamps and deep river crossing. Swamps are so big and deep, that sometimes for people is hard to go true. Also distance is problem, one way 250 km and back. All petrol we must take with us. Also - tools and spear parts, because, if something will broke, and we don't manage to fix it, then we must leave ATV there, only way to get it out is by helicopter or wait till winter come, and than get it out with track vehicle...
Its hard to tell all of that experience, yes, there was times, when we think that we will not make it, there was broken parts for ATV's, we have many problems, but we manage it. We get there, and more of that - we get back home All expedition take 2 weeks. On ATV 7 days.
