Expedition Trailer, enclosed - $4,500 in Austin, Texas
My garage-stored enclosed and locking expedition trailer is for sale. In 2010, we bought the Tierra Grande trailer (http://www.off-roadinternational.com/tierra_grande_off_road_trailer.html) new from Off-Road International as a rugged trailer high enough to handle off-road and Big Bend jeep trails but low enough to slipstream at highway speeds behind my SUV. The racks handle my 14' boats and the enclosed storage space locks down to help secure valuable camping and paddling gear.
Now, I am paddling 18' boats that need a longer trailer tongue. Also, I'm cooking more with titanium cooksets and JetBoil instead heavy dutch ovens, Coleman stoves, large ice chests, and lots of water containers. So, I'm no longer carrying enough weight for the 3500# axle.
Needs - tires soon and possibly drain plugs. New, the trailer costs:
Off-Road International Website
$ 4,200 Subtotal - Original Trailer
After-Market Upgrades (includes shipping costs but not my time or labor)
-----------
$ 1,835 Subtotal - Upgrades
$ 6,035 Total (for sale for $ 4,500 cash)
