For Sale

Sadly the time has come for me to sell my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic (XJ)

20161010_153225.jpg

206,000 KM and in excellent used condition. Probably one of the cleanest and nicest modified Jeep XJ’s around. This is a well maintained and rust free, well looked after example of one of the last Cherokee's. I am the 3rd owner with the last one being my mother in law. Originally purchased at Mountain View Chrysler/Jeep in North Vancouver. Modified for Camping / Overland / Back-roads exploration with engine, suspension, COMS, navigation including a Roof Top Tent on a custom fabricated rack, with lighting and more. This Jeep has been driven infrequently for the past 6 years, as I have had a daily driver and this was my weekend/camping rig. I have since purchased a full sized pickup and am in the process of building a custom Pop up camper. I recently sold my CDN M101 so now it's time for this to go to a new owner.

The Basics:

  • Jeeps legendary 4.0L inline 6 cylinder with 206,000 KM (for you in the USA that is about 130,000 Miles)

  • Dana 30 front Diff / Chrysler Corporate 8.25 rear (rear rebuilt at 160,000 KM)

Lots of summer left to enjoy this Jeep. Many new parts, most suspension parts have less than 10K on them, so nearly new. It has been installed for 4ish years… but the Jeep is only used for weekend trips and the occasional camping jaunt. Waste to have it sit here in my driveway. Honestly one of the nicest and cleanest Jeep XJ’s you will find. It has been off road, but mostly gravel roads and doubletrack. Some minor paint imperfections and parking dents, but it is 18 now. Tent and Rack have 5 nights of camping on them otherwise as-new! Its reliable, I would not hesitate to jump in and head out cross country today!

Dozens of pictures available upon request. Will grab some new ones this weekend. Can get detailed pics as well upon request.

Asking $9500.00 CAD OBO (thats Canadian, to you folks from the US more like $7400). Jeep is located in Victoria BC Canada on Vancouver Island. A short hop from Vancouver or Port Angeles (or Seattle even).

Make an offer! PM Me for links to more pics and details!!

So is the rebuilt cylinder head an old 0331, TUPY 0331, or one of the aftermarket options? Guessing not the latter since you said OEM.

Love me a red XJ. The whole being 3,000 miles away is a bit problematic though. GLWS.

That is actually a very good question DailyJeep? It was rebuilt before I got it by my mother in law (well not her personally but a machine shop) heh. The good news, the head has been off has been decked, valve grind and a new cam. Full upper end gasket set and all that after a magnaflux check...so no cracks.

One good thing about this Jeep, it is NOT the California spec so it only has one catalytic converter not 3. I am not sure if the heads were different to be honest? 3000 miles, that is a bit of a jaunt for sure...and thanks!

Busy weekend.

Thanks everyone for the emails and for reaching out. I am hopeful that this will be going home with a new family soon. There have been a lot of responses to this add, way more than the other adds I have posted. I guess Expedition Portal was a good place to advertise this! heh

Weekend bump.

Sold.

Thanks for all of the emails, messages and nice comments. This was hard to sell, but it is going to some nice folks who I am certain will like it as much as I ever did. Now I am going to go have a little cry...
