Hey everybody, my name is dave. Im brand new to this site so I hope i'm posting in the right spots. In late august 2011 My girl friend and I pointed our compass north and hit the road for a 2+ month, no strings attached, road trip to explore the North west with plans on seeing as many national parks as we could. We started out in our home town of Mendocino, Ca located about 3 hours north of San Francisco and headed up the coast line. We planed for Oregon, Washington, Canada, Montana, north and south Dakota, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona and back to california but we have a lot of wiggle room. At the time of writing this we are currently in Montana which marks over a month on the road. We are living out of the back of my 07 dodge ram 1500 4x4 which I have set up for these conditions.
I plan on posting pictures and comments about our trip until our current position so stay tuned. Thanks for the awesome website which has made me want to sell everything, buy a built fj62 and just keep driving!

Did you get your year long National Parks pass? Saves money if you go to a lot of places that charge entrance fees.

Would like to know what you did to setup your truck. I have a Ford f150 4x4 with off road package, supercrew and 6 1/2 ft bed.
the only mods I plan on making at the moment are better off road tires and maybe a winch. Plus a pop up camper shell.
