Fabtech spare tire bed mount '00 Tacoma

not a fan of fabtech...

Still... I lost out to 'da "cheap ~n~ easy", and purchased one of their tire mounts.

Mostly because I needed to get the spare better secured
and anything has got to be better then some damn web straps

or maybe 'cause it was only a $ 100.00 and was still new :dunno:

whatever possessed me... here it is

I welded the original small feet to three 5" X 5" plates
so that they would span properly the ribs in the bed's floor
( ^ the original Ftech feet may have been for some other truck ? ) :dunno:
backing plates were made to span the ribs correctly underneath.
Nylocks were used to secure the bolts

put some rubber backing on each mount plate...
so's incase they corrode some... the don't stain the carpet terribly

was really a simple thing, with little fab work involved
but it should minimize the clutter of using straps to hold ********
so that counts for sumthang

pics of the final...

Now since I done went and drilled holes in the bed...
and I no longer care... I guess I may just drill some more...

just might try and put some order to the back end of muh junk :)

thank you if ya like it...
screw ya, if ya don't. Lol :D

btw... I'm not sure either
I just want it to work better then fawking web straps :shiner:
