Part of the reason that I have something similar, but not exactly like the factor 55 is because the thimble or eye can become pinched in a hard pull and collapse. That means you will have a difficult time pulling the pin on a shackle, and an even more difficult time replacing the pin. It will still happen With a factor 55 or smittybilt, but you wont need to worry about it because any shackle you use will be going through the aluminum thimble, instead of the rope thimble.
