Fall Trips 2010

I just updated my web site with my latest travels. I would have set up a thread like I did the Family Reunion thread, but it is a LOT OF WORK.

I took two weeks off in October to do some traveling during the fall, when it's not as hot, but the cold weather hasn't hit yet. After the two weeks, I took the following weekend off and the next Sunday after that to do a bit more before wrapping it up for the winter and holing up at home and work. After it starts warming up again, I will do some more traveling. I went to these places during the two weeks off:

Galveston Island;
east Texas;
Texas Renaissance Festival;
and Lost Maples SNA

The following weekend after returning to work, I went to my 25th high school reunion in Carrizo Springs in south Texas. On November 7, I participated in the Texas Big Beat event, which is a fund raising event for a couple of charities at Bush airport in one of the hangars, where I played with 101 drum set drummers at once plus countless others in 14 other cities across the country, synchronized online to the same conductor at the airport. Please note that the photos are off by one day.

Loved your write up on the Texas renn fair. I'm a die hard "rennie" Ie: costumes, season pass speaking funny, etc. If you ever make it to Maryland you should visit our Festival, Its widely considered to be the best or 2nd best in the US, usually behind or just ahead of Texas. A lot of the acts are similar to Texas as well, we get the Rouges and Abby Green who you may recognize from Texas.

If your ever this way I'll be glad you show you our faire, It runs late Aug to late Oct.

Thank you and thank you. Remind me if you find me headed out that way. I don't know if it's this year or next year.

Looks like you go a little "Keith Moon" crazy when you get near a drum set. "Ren Faire Nerds" LOL. We have one here that I avoid like the plague.
