So guys, had an interesting week driving for Billy Tea, And I've driven all 3
The 84 is a nice truck to drive, its fitted with the long span std. leaf spring, i was the worlds biggest fan of the 649, but I'm yet to be convinced of the 84

the std. sprung isuzu fitted with an Able body, was borrowed from another tour company nice to drive, but was bouncy I think due to the rebound rate.

The parabolic sprung isuzu was worse. now, I put this down to 1, a lower tare weight and shorter body 2, stupid overkill helpers not allowing the parabolic to work on the rear 3, disproportionate weight distribution. we are going to try and sort out the issues once everyone is back on deck

Thanks for the comparisons Chocko. You're obviously someone who can give a very good "real world" assessment of these vehicles. Not many of us would have access to all these different setups.
As I see it, Fusos and Isuzus have different suspension and chassis setups, making them different animals in how they handle. Adding in short and medium wheelbase models only complicates things.
Which of these trucks is best? Who the heck knows? At the end of the day I expect it would come down to the individual truck and how it has been configured.
