Hello all, and thanks for the abundance of information and amazing builds. I acquired a M1102 a while back while I was searching for a camping/utility trailer to tow behind our Jeep. The trailer was posted locally on CL and way too cool to pass up especially because I was able to use the good old barter system to get it. It's a little longer of a story, but I type too slow and it's probably not that interesting. The trailer is a 2012 Silver Eagle with the bows and canvas top.
This was the 1st camping trip.
The next camping trip I learned a few things from here and SS and implemented them. Driving with the top up acts like a giant spinnaker, which the Jeep really dislikes. Using a reciever extension and the pintle riser plate has the potential to create a lot of stress and unwanted movement. I removed the spare tire and used a hitch vise to tighten things up. I also took the advice of changing out they 37" run flats w/ some stock Chevy HD rims and tires. I have no idea of the direction I want to go w/ the trailer but absolutely love it. I also have no metal fabrication skills whatsoever. I would have posted more picks but can't figure out how to load more than one at a time.
