Absorption refridgerators are a fire hazard and most all RV's use absorption style fridges. The one in my rig started on fire but luckily i was awake and was able to extinguish it before it ruined anything more than the fridge itself. I would think in this case they could simply interview the 29 year old woman that survived and ask her exactly what happend.
