The Mt. Hood Rally, which has been a car event for years, is opening up its entries to motorcycles this year. There are already 5 entries for the RallyMoto portion, 9 for the Cars, (entry list at rallydata.com.)

Please PM me with specific questions.

My driver and I at Mt. Hood in 2006:

I'd like to try something like this one day. I cant get any practice on the roads around here... either i'll get a ticket or run over by someone thinking he's Beau Duke slide around the gravel (mostly blind) curves.

There is one place to practice the high speed straight sections.... some private land out in the boonies... the middle of some rice fields. Although, I almost tookout a coyote that came running out of the rice field with a snake in its mouth.:smilies27

Where can I find more info on the one in SC ?--- Or really, what would you tell me as someone interested in doing that race as a first timer (I've raced MX when I was 13.... I'm now 21)?

I'm a fast-ish cautious rider. I could go faster, but I hate thinking that around the next curve there will be a truck sliding sideways right into me... I guess you could say I'm a mix of the tortoise and the hare.

Thoughts?

And yes, I was doing donuts and having a bloody good time on a flyweight XR400 (not mine...)

Got your email, thanks!

I hear those new beamers are ripping it up!?!!!!?!

I've been viewing vids and pics from the BSR tonight. Sucks for the fella on the HP2!

I'd be all-in if I had a plated bike. One of the FEW times that I wish I had a DS. Maybe I'll get an orange bike next year and order up a plate... red ones can't get 'em in Oregon, and I just can't justify a traditional DS. I will be at the race though, unfortunately as a spectator. I ride there all the time.

I'm not sure where he got it plated, but there is a CRF450 on the entry list.

I'll be acting as the Competitor Relations Officer, which means I'll be around the service area most of the day. Maybe I'll see you!

I bet that 450 is a 2006 model. A couple of years ago, one could get their CRF plated in Oregon- no more though. Anywhere that I could view an registrant list?

Same to ya Bill- BTW, I took several images of each racer as they came around the corner at the spectator area on day 2- if you would like some for your group's site, or if any riders/drivers want one of themselves racing, let me know.

Loved the classic Saab's!
