Hi. I am a long time lurker and really appreciate the forum and the wealth of information it contains. I have been working as a whitewater guide and living in My 1986 Dodge B250 conversion van for the last three summers. The van is great with the minimal upgrades that I have done (running water and sink, 2 burner RV stove, Zodi shower, solar panel) and this summer I would like to really dive in and add functionality to the vehicle including an Edgestar fridge, deep cycle battery and some more external storage. The van runs great but the suspension is getting weak and I am planning to replace shocks, springs and tires very soon. Although the van is not 4wd I would like to make it a little more "trail" (read: dirt road) capable for remote camping and kayaking trips. First I would like to add ground clearance. I found spring spacers on ebay which offer a 1-3" lift for the front but I am planning on replacing the springs so maybe a taller spring would work? I was thinking of using lift blocks for the rear leaf springs to match the front then adding larger/taller tires. I have 235/75/r15's now. I have a link to the spring spacers below and I found lift blocks before but cannot find them now. Soooo... my questions are.
1. Has anyone used these spacers/lifted a 2wd Dodge Van (no more than 3")
2. What tire would you recommend to add height. (Not huge...just taller like an old Land Rover)
3. Would I need to change anything else on the vehicle to make this all work (camber, brake lines, etc. The speedo is already shot so I am not worried about that)

Thanks you in advance,
Amos
