Flat gas can

These literally just hit the market this summer. I almost bought one as my jeep has little room for my NATO can. In the end I got a slightly shorter hande for my Hi-lift and made a shelf for the NATO can. (spent $18 instead of $70) A friend of mine went a head on got one. They are tough (like you could just about use it for a sand ladder tough) and easy to mount if you have the vertical space.

Aren't they the same as the ones for quads (to mount on the racks) If so they are not new. I am thinking of putting one behind my spare on my rear swing out.

The guys at Expedition One occasionally post on another forum i visit, as i hear it these are not the same canisters carried by Cabela's etc for quad usage which are manufactured by Kolpin. BTW... read the feedback for these @ Cabela's.. seem they (Kolpin) tend to leak.

Notice the disclaimer on the above link? CARB compliancy to 50 states is due 10/08.. so would these still be available?

More or less off the point, but in the link provided, it mentions that the cans are not, at this time, available in "CARB" states. Is it just me, or do these CARB states listed also look like the Democratic strongholds of America most recently seen on election day graphs. Of course, there would be no connection between liberal mind set and the California Air Resource Board regulations.

Also off the point. Is it necessary for us to endure political party bashing, or baiting on this forum? God knows, I see and hear enough of it on the radio and TV.

Expedition One is working on a method to mount two of these sandwiched between a tire carrier and the tire. I'm not sure if the mount is available yet. It's definitely an interesting concept.

these look like a good option on my stock rack. I'm guessing I could mount them similar to a surfboard.
