Up for sale is my fully self contained 1995 Toyota Hiace “New Crescend” LH129 4WD camper van that I’ve had many adventures with. It’s powered by the venerable 2.8L 3L diesel, a fairly ubiquitous and durable engine. The van has a 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. These vans have a true hi/low transfer case, with manual locking hubs. The odometer shows 213973km (132956 miles). Nearly everything on this vehicle has been gone through by me or a professional. Everything works as intended. This is a turnkey adventure vehicle.

Upgrades I’ve done:

  • 2” lift from Vanlife Northwest in Oregon
  • Slightly larger 235/75/R15 BFG KO2s (80-90% tread)
  • Extended diff breathers front and rear
  • Renogy 100AH self heating lithium battery
  • Renogy DCC30S DCDC/MPPT with bluetooth
  • Renogy 1000W inverter
  • Renogy shunt
  • Secondary house battery: Bluetti EB240 2400Wh
  • Truckfridge with freezer
  • Stove converted to run from 1lb propane bottles
  • Converted complex dinette bed into pull out couch with storage underneath
  • Lagun table
  • Pioneer Android Auto/Apple Carplay head unit, wired to run from house battery so you can listen to music while you’re camping
  • Italvolanti Admiral steering wheel
  • WeBoost cellular booster
  • Espar D2 diesel heater, plumbed directly into fuel tank
  • White blackout material curtains all the way around
  • 10Amp Noco shore power charger

Details about the camper:

  • Fully insulated from factory at the coach builder in Japan
  • Japanese buckwheat futon mattress
  • Drop down bunk bed
  • 2 burner propane stove
  • 12V Truckfridge with freezer
  • 3.2 gal water and 3.2 gal grey water tank
  • Porta Potti
  • Sleeps up to 4 adults
  • Lots of storage
  • Vent fans above seating area and stove

Extras (not installed):

  • Xplormor Offroad ladder
  • Upgraded side door well step with light
  • Monsoon rain guards
  • Front skid plate
  • 8 Rain gutter legs for a roof rack, just needs cross bars
  • Original Omnistor awning (I removed it from its original location because it was riveted into the roof and was starting to rust, which has been professionally repaired. The roof rack legs that come with the van have mounting holes for the awning)

Recent maintenance:

  • Just ceramic coated today
  • Undercoated with NHOU every year I’ve owned it
  • New alternator
  • Diff fluid changed
  • Transmission fluid/filter
  • Cooling system flush

Cons:

  • A few body areas are starting to rust as shown in pictures
  • Dent in rear door
  • Dent in driver's side rocker

I’m sad to see this van go as it’s brought me so much joy on and off road, and taken me places I wouldn't normally get to see, but life happens. I’m hoping this can go to a good home!
