Ford Van Trans. Cooler Options

I have a 98 E350 with a V10 and automatic. I have a brand new Mishimoto 6.0 trans. cooler that I was going to put on my 02 f350 7.3, but I sold the truck before I had a chance to put it on. Every thing looks pretty tight on the van and I can't see a way to put this huge cooler on the van.

What are some good options ?

I don't know the dimensions of a Mishimoto cooler, but I would start by comparing the size of it with the other Ford 6.0 coolers. They are 26 and 31 row respectively. The 26 will fit your van with some fairly extensive modifications to your header panel, etc. The 31 row will not. All 6.0 coolers have 1/2" line sizing while your transmission has 3/8". Easiest way is sell it and use a TruCoolMax cooler in place of factory one. Most expensive way is upgrade to 2008+ front clip and you'll have all the room in the world for it!

What temps are you seeing on the guage?

I still need to get a scan gauge or similar. I have only driven it home 150 miles and to town a couple of times since I got it. Just wanting to see what cooler options are out there.

I think the best thing is to sell it and get a different one. I don't plan on doing the front end upgrade.

Since you don't know what the temp range is yet, hold off buying anything til you know what's needed.
