Found an interesting connector

Look at the bottom of page 24 of this pdf: 300 Amp Continuous Duty single pole trailer connector.

I did not know such a thing existed. I can see it having uses in a lot of various applications.

Yup, we used them between the Hostar hydraulic trailers and the tow vehicles at the marina, so the battery on the trailer was always backed up by the truck's batteries and charging system. We even ran 8K winches through that type plug. Good stuff, lasted a good long time. Actually, I don't think one ever wore out...usually one of us managed to forget to plug it in, and drag it a few miles on the road. Even then, it would still be servicable...for a while.
