Cool, but begs the question. Ever heard of something called an outboard?

When I originally read about this, I believe that there were two issues with this.
1. They wanted to claim that they had gotten from tip to top completely under moto-power.
2. They were in a fairly remote area and were able to score an old beat up boat and drive axle easily, but didn't see anything outboard that anyone would have parted with. Probably makes it easier to get rid of in Panama also.
