Friendly SUV on my Arthritis

I will buy a car in Australia next month and need advice for one that is friendliest on my hip arthritis. A mid-size SUV or station wagon AWD should work if it has a smooth ride, especially on asphalt, where it will spend 95% of the time. Occasional off road use requires AWD but that is lower priority. My budget is $50,000 USD so new cars are possible as well as late model used. Parts and service are obviously considerations in addition to not horrible fuel milage. Your suggestions welcome, thanks.

From a fellow arthritic, ild suggest a look at the VW Atlas. I believe you can get the diesel in Australia? And a manual if you’re up to it. We had one with a 2” lift which made ingress/egress perfect for me at 6’-3”, AWD and quite comfy…
