Hey everyone,

About three weeks ago I had set of my cascadia tent setup for the first time and while getting out of it I ruptured two discs in my back which resulted in emergency surgery. My father came home and folded the tent over then rolled the trailer into the garage. I'm seriously needing help with getting the cover on the tent. I'm only allowed to lift 5 lbs for 9 more weeks so my wife/two kids will be trying it. Any tips on how to do the install for the first time? I kinda feel like we need to roll it out set it up then try the cover because it looks like a mess the way he folded it up. I also know that the extra room wasn't installed so they only have to deal with the tent itself. Any info is GREATLY appreciated.

Roll it out, open it back up, install the bungies inside that help 'suck' the sides in as it is folded back up. Your wife and kids should be able to fold it up easily by themselves.

The annex support bar must be unhooked and slid back into place under the mattress before folding.

Once it is re-folded just tuck in the fabric and gently pull down and re-secure the velcro that sucks the 2 halves together. I usually will go around and tuck again.

Then slide the cover into the channel and sling it over the whole thing and zip while watching and tucking in the fabric, the fabric can and will get sucked into the zipper. I did it once and it took 45 minutes to get it out without ripping the fabric.

Have your wife watch the video's CVT has on youtube.

This is what I was going to suggest also. It helps me the most to "see" it done instead of being told how to do things. :p

Good luck and best wishes on a speedy recovery.

thanks guys. We were able to get it on once I figured out how the cover went in the channel on the one long side. It's definitely going to have to put up several times until it will be "easy". I appreciate the help guys.
