FS: 1996 Toyota 4Runner 4x4, Heavily Modified (SoCal/Phoenix)

Price Drop to $14,000

Up for sale is my 1 owner 1996 Toyota 4Runner. This car was built in February of 1996. My Dad purchased it from Toyota of Escondido in April 1996. A few months later in July, I was born. This is the vehicle that drove me home from the hospital and the vehicle I drove to high school and college. Which is pretty cool. This thing means a lot to me and I've put countless amounts of money, blood, sweat, and tears.

The reason for the sale is simply I need something different. This truck deserves to be driven around town and shown off. Driven to the desert and driven hard. I simply don't have that kind of time anymore. I'm driving around 18,000 miles a year driving from San Diego to college in Phoenix and back. I need to be driving something I don't care about putting that many miles on.

Basic Specs:

1996 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 SR5
5-Speed Manual
Evergreen Pearl
Blue/Grey Cloth Interior
193,xxx miles

Although this truck does have nearly 200,000 miles on it, almost every single nut and bolt has been gone over or replaced. At 176,000 miles, I had the motor replaced with a 92k mile motor and every single seal was replaced inside the engine, including timing belt and water pump. Here's the rest of the maintenance history since I started driving it. We still have all service receipts since new in a folder that I will include with the car.

Bump, this thing is seriously nice. Reading the backstory, I hope you don't regret selling this truck.

I will regret selling it and I will miss it, but I just feel bad putting 20k miles highway miles a year and only 100 dirt miles when it's meant for 10k dirt miles. You know?

I know I can find someone that will use this thing to its potential better than I can at this moment

If there by any chance you could post a couple pics of the swing out on the rear bumper. I bought a Savage rear bumper and he discontinued the add-on swing out shortly after. Now I have to figure out how to make it. Thanks!

I have tons of photos on my Flickr account. I'm on my phone right now so I can't link it to you. Just click on one of the photos above and scroll through, you'll find them.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I would definitely be willing to lower the price for an expo member because I know you guys will treat it well.
