FOR SALE: MOAB Fort XL Overland Camper Trailer — Ashland, Oregon — $15,500

The perfect basecamp trailer for exploring the Cascades, Siskiyous, and beyond.

At just 1,700 lbs dry weight, this American-built aluminum trailer can be towed by virtually any SUV, crossover, or truck—then unhitched at camp so you can explore backroads, trailheads, and towns without dragging your gear behind you. The rugged axle-less suspension and articulating hitch handle rough forest roads with ease, while the simple, well-designed systems mean you spend your time adventuring, not troubleshooting.

Why this trailer works so well: This is a true set-it-and-forget-it basecamp. Roll into a dispersed site, level up with the dual stabilizer jacks, and you've got a fully functional kitchen, hot water for showers, cold drinks in the fridge, and a comfortable bed overhead—all running quietly on solar. When you want to hit a day hike, mountain bike trail, or drive into town for supplies, just unhitch and go. Your camp stays exactly as you left it.

What's included:
The iKamper X-Cover 2.0 rooftop tent (with upgraded mattress and padded ladder) sleeps 3 quite comfortably and sets up in under two minutes (legitimately). In the rear, the slide-out galley gives you an ICECO 12V fridge/freezer, Camp Chef Everest two-burner stove, sink with sprayer, and dual swing-out stainless prep surfaces—all protected by a 23Zero 180° awning.

The 12V electrical system runs on a new battery charged by a 120W solar panel, with a 400W inverter for small appliances and multiple charging options to keep everything topped off. An 18-gallon freshwater tank with Shurflo pump and digital gauge handles cooking and cleanup, while the propane-fed instant hot water heater means actual hot showers at camp. Total water capacity reaches 32 gallons with a couple 7 gallon water jugs tucked in behind the tongue box.

For off-road capability, you get 31" Jeep tires and wheels (including full-size spare on the swing-out tailgate), heavy-duty axle-less suspension rated for serious terrain, and an articulating hitch that lets the trailer follow your vehicle's line through obstacles.

The practical appeal: Unlike complex expedition rigs that demand constant attention, this trailer is refreshingly low-maintenance. The aluminum frame won't rust. The electrical system is straightforward and accessible. There's no slide-out mechanism to fail, no complicated leveling system to calibrate. It's built in the USA by people who actually use these things, and it shows in the thoughtful details—LED lights in the storage boxes, quick-fist mounts for recovery gear, a 2" rear receiver for bike racks or cargo.

Excellent condition throughout. Thoughtfully maintained and updated by someone who appreciates good gear. Selling with or without the iKamper tent—price negotiable depending on configuration. Cargo bag/frame shown in some photos is removed at present but is available if preferred. An all-season cover will also be included in the sale if desired.

Will consider all reasonable offers. No trades.

[The photos range in age from 2022 until now. The only difference is the tent has been replaced with a larger one, the table removed (we use a rolltop table that packs down small), and the sprayer for the sink upgraded. You'd not know some of these photos are 2-3 years old, the trailer has been garage-kept when not in use and shows very little sign of use.]
