I’ve been writing this description in my head for months procrastinating putting this listing up. This is a dream rig that I thought would be my “forever” rig, but is that really even a thing for a car guy?
Selling due to personal and family changes - gonna really miss this thing.
This setup is a dream if you’re looking for one of the most capable platforms with a lightweight camper solution. This truck will go anywhere effortlessly and the camping rig sets up in minutes providing the most comfort in the backcountry. The reason I went this direction was because I was tired of waking up to 20 degree weather or camping in the rain and having to do essential things outside (like make breakfast for the kids). In this setup, you can poop, brush your teeth, make breakfast, chill and be ready to break camp without going outside - unless you want to!
And the AluCab Shadow Awning makes outside chill-time even better - it’s the chef’s kiss.
Inside the camper I have it powered by a GoalZero Yeti 3000x (included in sale) that the camper fan and lights are wired too. The GoalZero will power the included Dometic CFX45 for days without a charge. The GoalZero is charged using their RV kit, which is a large cable ran back from the start battery and will charge it from near zero to full in just hours. Of course, if you’re moving every day and watch your overnight consumption (ahem, you leave Starlink on), you’ll never go below 75% overnight.
I upgraded the Four Wheel Camper mattress to an ultra plush one from Hest too - this thing sleeps so dreamily. Also included.
The truck is a serial numbered, built by AEV themselves, Prospector XL, formed from on a Ram 2500 Laramie Cummins and is my favorite road-trip vehicle. It swallows up the highway miles like nothing, cruising at 85 without hesitation. And the adaptive cruise control is icing on the cake. You don’t even feel the turbulence when you pass a semi on the highway.
And if you’ve never wheeled a truck like this, you’re in for a real treat. Short of tight trails, there is nothing more comfortable to spend all day in on the trail. The 40’s, aired down, paired with the AEV dual sport suspension swallow up any bumps you encounter. My comfortable cruising speed on the trail was always a stitch above the rest of the pack because of this plush ride.
Enough narrative, here’s the details.
ASKING: $85k
Located in Orlando Florida - willing to help with delivery
Includes the truck, Four Wheel Camper Project M, GoalZero 3000x, AluCab Shadow Awning and everything pictured (including Starlink).
Looking at the pictures, I didn't realize how dirty it looked - I'll have it detailed professionally for the buyer, of course.
Truck is a 2022 Ram 2500 Laramie with the Cummins
I have the sticker and build sheet below that has all the build details.
I’m not interested in splitting anything up - this is a turnkey dream setup, come and get it!
Mileage: 53.6k (will go up slowly as I drive it)
I have PPF all down the sides of the truck. The only issue with the size is tight trails, but the way it performs is worth the extra trail research.
I have a glove box full of service records.
I would say I wish this truck was a like-new creme puff, but I don’t. I used this rig. But not that much. Shoot, it’s mostly sat the last two years. However, I’ve seen some fun trails and some beautiful parts of the country, so you’ll find some hints of that here and there - but there’s nothing very notable other than some marks on the camper from branches. I did have some pin stripes that were paint corrected before I had the PPF installed on the sides.
Let me know if you have any questions, if you want to get on a call or need more pictures or video. Happy to accomodate.
GLWS to me and the buyer!
Oh yea, I have the title in hand.
