Named best offroad trailer by Outside Magazine in 2025!

We are putting our Boreas EOS-12 up for sale as we just bought a house, and no longer have the time and means to properly use it. We originally purchased this for a long trip to Alaska, but we decided to settle down and put a pause on nomadic life.

We really enjoyed the limited time we had with this trailer in the few trips we did get to do (3 trips, each ~2 weeks). This is our second off road travel trailer, and by far the best for so many reasons. It’s one of very few true 4 season trailers, midsize truck/suv towable, that has a bathroom inside and stand up room with real offroad suspension.

What we loved
Large dual-zone fridge (access from inside or outside), kitchen, comfortable bed, lots of storage, easy setup and breakdown of roof, great customer service and solid build quality/materials (no wood!). Automatic leveling with the fancy suspension! You can sleep with the top down for really cold or stormy nights. The Truma heating system is extremely efficient and quiet. 50 gallons of fresh water is a bonus. Very agile for tight trails and easily towable (tow vehicle was a 2022 Tundra).

About the trailer
An early 2022 model, we purchased and registered it new in October of 2023 from a Outbound Offroad, a Boreas dealer in North Carolina, who used it a handful of times prior to selling.

This particular model is fully loaded, including a Nomadic 12v AC unit on the roof, dual 20lb propane tanks, 5x100 watt glass Zamp solar panels, front cargo tray and net, 23zero shower room, and zip-in full awning room. We’ve added a 1UP bike tray and upgraded the original 400ah of lithium to 600ah. This post will not go into all of the features, most likely if you are looking at the post you have done your research and know about the bells and whistles. For convenience here's Matt the owner doing a walkthrough-

EOS-12

We brought the trailer to Boreas in early 2024 to bring it up to current model specs, as well as take care of minor warranty items, perform maintenance, and some custom interior work. Most importantly, the roof latching hardware/mechanisms were retrofitted to the new style and was extremely labor intensive, not covered under warranty. Over 2500 dollars was invested to get this done, as well as to add the newer model feature of an air chuck in the front cargo bay. A full Cruisemaster preventative maintenance job (grease all joints and hitch, repack bearings) and alignment check were done. Boreas free of charge also completely rewired the 12v mains and most wire runs to higher gauge, rerouted for easier service, and upgraded components related to the air suspension system (full invoice can be provided).

What we changed inside
The interior has been lightly retrofitted to be more comfortable for a couple. For our use, we elected to have the center table removed, as it took up valuable floor space. I installed a Lagun mount and swivel table that is plenty large for a couple to eat on or as a work surface. The small extra section of cushion on the right side was removed to allow the install of an interior Boxio sink and extra storage. As configured, it cannot be converted to a full sleeper platform, but can easily be reverted if necessary if you want that feature.

Location etc
We are located in Northern California (southern Humboldt county), and are willing to meet and tow the trailer to you anywhere between here and NM, for gas money and a down payment. Trailer is owned outright with title in hand. More pictures to follow, and for serious parties, detailed photos are available and we can do a video walk-around.

Asking $65,000 OBO.
