I have a brand new Bosch alternator that I bought for my 1993 XJ 4.0L. It's about 4 years old and was never installed, still in it's original box. For some reason, I never returned it.

$50 + shipping

I will check on the amperage and if it fits a 96 XJ. I'll post up later this evening.

Sounds like I got lucky on my break! I hope it works for the 1996!
PS: if it does, it would be AWESOME timing because I think my alternator just died because my battery is dead and the voltmeter was showing charging in the RED - which could also be just a dead battery...either way.

OK - surprise surprise, I didn't need this alternator. I've thought about hanging on to it until I need another one, but if I do, I'll upgrade to a mean green.

So it's back up for sale! It's in the same box it came to me in and same shipping box too!

$50 + shipping (which cost me about $10). Just looking to recover my cost. PS: this is a brand new REFURBISHED unit according to the stickers on the actual item.
