FS: Military Netting Support Pole Systems $30 each SOLD!

SOLD!

SOLD!

Located in SoCal and shipping would be expensive

I have two sets of these near-new systems in my garage, basically new old stock.

$30 for each system of 12 poles, 3 spreaders and carrying bag.

Description:

Each system consists of:
1.) a set of twelve 4-foot long interlocking poles that can be combined to create various length poles
2.) Six spreaders that attach to the tops of the poles and unfold to create a 4' diameter "petal" support for camo netting or canvas
3.) a durable waterproof material carrying bag in which the system can be stored. The top of the bag fastens the same way as a military duffle bag.
4.) 18 aluminum stakes

Originally used by the military to support camo netting to hide their tanks, Hummers, or equipment from the enemy.

Camo Netting and guy lines are not included. Excellent condition. Weight 65 lbs.

Thats an awesome deal for some real cool tarp poles... I have a few of the bags and spreaders like that and they are a very versatile and useful tool...
Someone snap these up quick:beer:

I bought those same poles, they would be great for awning system, they are strong fiberglass poles.

How much would shipping to 86301 be? Or what are the chances that someone might be coming and going between AZ and SoCal?

What part of SoCal? Might be interested and am in LA right now. Might also be interested in running transport for Clark to Phoenix.

Thanks!

Hi Tom,

I was actually planning to purchase a couple sets of these this year for Burning Man where we're building a temporary sun shelter for the week out of an old parachute. BM isn't until August/Sept of 2009 so I'm in no hurry. But I would buy them and hopefully figure out a way to get them up to Utah somehow...

Let me know if this would work for you, I could paypal you right away. Worse comes to worse we could do terminal to terminal shipping which shouldn't be more than $60 hopefully...

I hope you'd be OK with me using this in that liberal bastion known as Burning Man :) (But I'd send pics!) :)

I'll be making a trip from SoCal to AZ around the 19th of december and will have room on my roofrack for this, if need be.

I've had one PM from Dizzyspots about taking one of these and when I first went to my FedEx account the biggest problems were Home Delivery, Oversize and Weight. Originally I thought that I'd have to box one with foam inside to keep it from shifting so I swagged 2ft x 2ft and that is what kills it ($140). Perhaps I can just "roll" the thing in cardboard and tape to keep the dimenisons to 15". That knocks the cost down considerably to less than $50, probably $35-ish. I'd need to go home and re-measure.

Tom??

Bunch of wise-A** responses come to mind but first I'll say that depending on the buyer line-up I would be more than happy to work with you on a sale and shipping. I have a friend that goes to BM every year and sets up about 1400 sq feet of camo netting using these pole systems. I don't hold BM attendance against any of my friends!

Wise Guy Remarks Just For You!!:

Will setting up the nets at Burning Man impact Global Climate Change at all due to altering the reflectivity of the ground? Does PayPal accomodate Carbon Credits???
