FS: Popup Truck Camper - Short Bed - Very nice

2009 Starcraft Starblazer Popup Camper - Fits 6.5' bed with NO overhang out of the bed. That last part was important to me whenever I was searching for a truck camper. No worries about dragging it offroad. Also interesting is that adding it to my truck's full-coverage insurance only cost me $3 a month.

It's in very good condition, I am the 2nd owner. I purchased it several months back from Camping World (was a trade-in).

It's loaded with lots of features:

- Dometic 13.5k BTU A/C - will turn the inside of the camper into a meat locker
- Dometic 3-way Fridge - with thermoswitch for ventilation fan
- Propane Furnace - on an adjustable thermostat
- 20gal fresh water storage
- Sink - Sureflow pump
- Reico-Titan Jacks - these actually lift the camper high enough to go in/out of my lifted truck on 37s :Wow1:
- Fullsize Propane Tank (full)
- LED interior lighting
- LED exterior lighting
- Rotopax 4gal Fuel Tank (with locking mounts) - For generator fuel storage
- Xantrex 1500w Inverter (not installed)
- Deep cycle RV battery (Exide)
- Stereo with Interior/Exterior speakers
- Bedside Clamp Mounts - with turnbuckles AND I have some nice long mounts for use if your truck has frame mounting points installed

I added the Rotopax and LED lighting. It has tons of storage, which I really like. The bed platform is on gas struts and raises up with lots of space to store bedding. It has doors at the bottom which allow access to the truck's bed when you're inside the camper. There's quite a bit of space in front of the wheel wells that you can use to store things that you don't want to keep inside the camper.
When you're inside, it really doesn't "feel" like you're in a shortbed truck. Plenty of room for 2 people, and if need-be, the couch pulls out into another sleeping area.
Also comes with a dining table that is stored under the bed.

It was in excellent condition when I bought it a few months ago, and I've only improved upon that. I went through and added some fresh sealant (Dicor) to areas that looked like it may need it. I replaced the outdoor marine speakers with new ones. I added the entry/exit handle.
The top is in excellent shape with no rips/tears in the canvas.

Camper weighs in at 1700lbs, and is pretty low profile during travel. My truck handles it like it's not even back there.

I looked hard to find this thing. To me, it was a better fit than a 4WC, simply because of the comfort features/air conditioning.

Only selling it because I want to go back to a camper shell and will use my travel trailer when we do go camping.

Price is $7,000. Located in Northwest Arkansas. Possibly willing to meet/deliver for the right deal/location.

Note - Some pics don't show the Rotopax container, as it was only recently added.

Forgot to mention that I may take trades/partial trades. Not sure if this forum allows that or not.

I like things that go bang. :sombrero:

Currently in moab with the camper. Will be heading through Colorado starting tomorrow. If anyone wants to make a deal delivery might be an option.

Just got back from a 3k mile trip and the camper was flawless. Ready for it's new owner.

Make an offer!

You are operating with a 3/4 ton Chevy, right? I am in the market for a creature like that or a FWC/ATC, but I have a 2016 Tundra Double Cab. I am interested, but weight is an obvious concern (just had to back out of an Alaskan 7' for that reason :( )

Yeah, my truck is a 3/4 ton. Weight wise, this thing weighs 1650lbs with the rooftop a/c. If you were to replace that with a vent fan, you'd save about 120lbs according to the factory sticker in the camper.

How much did the Alaskan weigh? This one is easily forgotten when I'm driving. Doesn't really affect the truck at all.

Recently took a 3000 mile trip with the camper. Encountered a blizzard in Wyoming, and the camper surprised me. Temps were in the low single digits, and the camper remained quite warm inside (without heater going). The water in the fresh tank as well as the water in the portable toilet never iced up.

Also spent some time in Moab and Colorado.

GLWS. I followed your truck build thread over on pirate4x4. I love your truck and want to do that axle swap on my 2005 Duramax.
