SOLD .... well not really.

Thanks for all the interest in the cots, but as of yesterday they're no longer available. But, there's a good vibe story to this. I happened to meet up with a nice young dad and his 10 year old son. Neither had done any camping and don't have any gear or money to buy it. So, a few of us in our local outdoor community outfitted them head to toe and these cots were part of that kit. They're headed to Flag this weekend for their first trip and that little boy was absolutely busting his buttons!

So, I didn't make a dime and you fellas didn't get cots, but a new backcountry traveler is born and that's never a bad thing.

Cheers,

Christophe

I don't mean to come across as a jerk here but I am not too happy with how this change took place. I have bought and sold things on forums before and feel an agreement is an agreement. I had made plans to pick these up last week, adjusted those plans to fit your needs, and then only found out about you giving these away because I PM'd you to verify picking them up this weekend.

While I appreciate your desire to assist a father and his son there is something to be said for honoring an agreement. If you would have asked me about breaking our agreement I would probably feel different than I do right now.

For what it is worth....Like the person you helped out I am a single dad of a 10 yr old boy and am not of the same financial stature as many members on this forum. The most unfortunate thing is I have to tell my son that we are now not getting these cots at all after I already had to tell him about the change of weekends.

I hope the family you donated these to makes good use of them. Just please think about the other parties involved if you had already made an agreement.

Look Photo. I'm as much a stand up guy as I'm sure you are. I sent you a PM explaining my situation and since you would rather make this open-air, I'll do the same. You might want to take pause before you challenge my integrity. These are cots for Pete's sake.

I'm sorry this went the way it did, but honestly, I don't really mind taking some lumps from your for it. These cots went to a father and son who lost almost everything in the last year when the boy's mom was killed in a car accident. Maybe you have had similar heart break, I don't know. I'll be happy to send YOU some cots if it'll make you feel better. Send me your address.

I understand the concept of calling "dibs" on online sales. It goes right in the same rule book with calling "shotgun" for the front seat. I get it. But, I chose to give these cots to this particular kid. Maybe that's bad form, but I don't think it's worth the energy you're giving it.

Send me your addy and I'll send you two new cots.

Well, in my opinion , all are in the right...the cots went for a great cause,
but the terms of the agreements should have been resolved prior..
no ones integrity is beeing questioned.
lets make peace...
