FS: Toyota pickup bed trailer

Toyota pickup bed trailer for sale. I believe this is from a 1982 2WD pickup. I bought it already made into a trailer. I did a SOA with a custom 6 lug Toyota trailer axle using Land Cruiser drum brake front end parts: spindles, hubs, etc. I also added the shell.

I have used this trailer for about 6 years and towed it countless miles. I mainly used it for hauling unwanted clothing/household items for donation from a clothing consignment store. It tows great stuffed full. I have also used it to haul firewood and junk to the dump.

I no longer use this trailer much and it is time for it to go. Located in Hotchkiss, CO 81419. I can tow it to Salt Lake City if desired as I am moving there.

$500

Forgot to mention that it has a 2" ball. Also has a clear Colorado title. And it has a full size matching spare tire/wheel.

Another nice toyota trailer.
Is this a standard bed? What's the rust situation on the bed? the frame?

Thanks! I believe it is the long bed as the bed measures 7' There is not any rust on the bed but the frame has some light surface rust but nothing major....no cancer. It could easily be cleaned up with a wire wheel. This is a clean Western Colorado Toyota and we don't see major rust.

i would love to use it as my camping trailer but I already have one of those. I just don't have a need for it right now.

That does look like the start to a great all purpose trailer. Its just too far away for me to justify, but bump for somebody closer to you that is looking. Heck, the bed looks like its worth it for someone with a 1st gen.

If you were only closer, I would snatch it up. I've been hunting for this style bed to build into a trailer for my 60 for months.

Anybody coming this direction anytime soon?

I can get it to SLC, UT if that helps.

Here is what you should do: Drive out and buy it. However, go on u-ship.com and find someone who needs something hauled to your area. Pick whatever it is they need up, and get paid for the haul back.

You are pulling an empty trailer back, you might as well take something back with you and make some extra money.

Or.....you could go to the ih8mud forum under "mudship" and see if anybody is willing to drag it back to your area.

Just a thought.

Now located in SLC, UT and it is still for sale. I used it to move from Colorado to Utah and it worked great.

Open to offers.....reasonable offers.

Hey I just saw this on KSL and was gonna call you this weekend! It doesn't have a receiver hitch does it? How does registration work on something like that? Do you know the cost to register it in UT? did you notice a significant change in your MPG with the thing empty?
I would like to take a look at it this weekend if you are around.
