Fuel gauge not registering full

So after I replaced my fuel tank skid, I noticed that the fuel gauge didn't read full after I filled the jeep. I didn't think too much about it because the tank was almost empty when I installed the skid. After a few tanks now, and the gauge still doesn't read full. What did I do when I installed the skid? The gauge now reads between an 1/8 and a 1/16 under full after filling it. Maybe the float got moved out of adjustment? I'm stumped on this one. Thank you in advance.

Have one of your buddies hook it up to a Solus, or Modis scanner....you can see what the actual reading is coming thru the ECM.......that will tell if it is the guage or the sending unit...I think you can test the guage also.....p
