??? ????: Fully Equipped 4x4 Mitsubishi Delica (Automatic)
?????: Central Chile or Santiago (July 2021 onwards), other locations in Chile might be possible (PM)
?????: 10 000 USD

It’s been a crazy year(s), and we’ve finally made it to the south of the south, to the land of fire (Tierra del Fuego) and are ready (and also sad) to finally go home soon. This also means our dear Delica will need to find new owners after being with us for over 1.5 years, and serving us reliably no matter the season, altitude or weather.

A 4x4 van this size will get you to crazy beautiful places like the Lagunas Route between Bolivia and Chile, the snow-capped 4,000m+ mountain passes of Peru in Huascaren National Park, and through mud, river, rocks, ditches, you-name-it, when you need it the most. It can fit in any city where bigger campers might struggle to fit (e.g. La Paz in Bolivia, many Peruvian towns with narrow roads and bridges), and both the high clearance and 4x4 have saved us (and others when we helped them out of sand/mud) many times.

There’s plenty of spare parts readily available for this van throughout South America (we never had to wait for imported parts) and mechanics are familiar with the Mitsubishi L400 series. This van has been regularly maintained and owners of both L300 and L400 Mitsubishis can attest to its reliability. For adventure lovers who want to go the distance to get to the best remote hikes, crags, off-road experiences and epic scenic viewpoints, this is the van to get! Read more below

Sometimes the 4x4 comes in handy even right in town (it got us out of muddy carparks in both Colombia and Bolivia). Even if you travel on the conservative side and stick to main roads, the 4x4 will get you through possible detours needed when the main road is under repair (happens very often in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia). You don’t need to worry about potholes or rocks on the road hitting the undercarriage or knocking off your exhaust in this high clearance vehicle.

NOTES:
You can view the awesome conversion and adventures of the couple who first converted the van here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_KP5vgYhYg

We’re sad to be letting her go, but there is no more land to overland on, and our southbound journey has come to an end. She will be available in Puerto Natales, Chile next month (April 2021), or Santiago (May 2021 onwards). She can be imported to USA for a good profit as well!

Buying this same van model and outfitting it with similar gear using external vendors will set you back by more than the list price and require several months needed of work. So why not fly in and start your new adventure instantly with this fully equipped 4x4 Delica?

Hi Jolyn, do you still have the vehicle for sale? I live in the US but I'll be traveling to Chile (Santiago area) in April. Do you have a number I can reach you? perhaps we can talk in WhatsApp or Facetime.

Cheers!
Daniel

Hi Jolyn,

Really complete rig you've got. I'm interested; would be importing to the US. Is there anything mechanically wrong or needing to be replaced?

Best,
Steve

Van listing has been updated and availability/viewings are now in central Chile! We delayed the sales by a few weeks in order to get fully vaccinated before going home. For quicker contact / communication, you can Whatsapp me at +65 9one55 four8seven7

In terms of maintenance, the van received 2 brand new wheels and a new inverter in the past 4 months. Shock absorbers have been fixed by a mechanic, but you might want to get them replaced in north Chile (we weren't able to find the part in South Chile).
