Furnace in a Flip Pac?

Daydreaming here....My wife and are close to becoming "empty-nesters" (it is bittersweet...) and are trying to decide between a pop-up camper, Flip Pac, Four Wheel Camper, etc for our future roamings. We have tent camped for years but want a little more comfort without a lot of hassle. Price is a concern so right now a used pop-up or a Flip Pac are looking good.

One of the main reasons for upgrading is a heater! All of the small pop-up's we've seen have a heater. I really don't want to drag around a trailer so the Flip Pacs appeal to me. Can you put a small, safe furnace in a Flip Pac? The Earthroamer Jeep advertises a gasoline-fueled furnace and the RV suppliers have several smaller models that look like they would work. I envision an LP tank that could be secured inside the camper for transport then placed outside and connected to the furnace for sleeping.

Any thoughts?

I've seen a couple of WilderNests over the years where the owner removed the driver's side window and then fitted a piece of sheet stock with a wall-mount space heater. If memory serves, they were catalytic type heaters like you'd find in boats or maybe RVs. I dunno if the plate in the window was plywood, aluminum or what. I'd suspect plywood, but I guess it depends on the type of heater whether or not it would be safe to mount on wood or if it would need to be insulated from combustibles (they may expect sheet rock between the wall and heater, for example). They usually have an exhaust coming out, so maybe it's an RV heater, like from an Westfalia or something?
