Hi to All,
I would like to ask a couple of questions to the guys in the know... This is my money pit
drives with 7 people in the cab and sleeps 7 as well ( ya big family ).
As i purchased it

I am going to solve the cab tilting issue to access the engine by moving back the camper and build a garage box to house washing machine and genset and will add a slide out kitchen at the rear and a roof top tent on top of the cab

My question is on how can i increase ground clearance without compromising drive-ability too much and being a 2 wheel drive, would you fit a rear locker? I am planning to use snow chains if required but of course i would not attempt beach driving etc etc :Wow1:
The idea is to attempt a RTW trip sticking to tarmac as much as possible and the usual unpaved packed gravel.
It has a GVWR of 10400kg , 450lt of fresh water, 350Lt of Diesel, good for 1800Km and 350 lt of gray water tank. 520w of Solar and a Sterling alternator to house battery smart charger for a 440 amps house.
The truck has 170.000km and its a 2004 australian model with a 6M60 turbo intercooled engine 280HP.
The Truck currently has still a 4500kg payload to spare when fully loaded and runs 9.5R 17.5 tyres.
Suspension are leaf and shocks absorber front and back.
Any suggestion is very appreciated.
Thank you
Emi
