Flat Bed truck & camper video from our dealer in Germany.

Looks like a nice combo.

Kinda interesting that in some countries they have to go to an Off Road Park to be able to do some off road driving.

We are very lucky here in the West. There are lots of places for us to wander.

It's not that often that you see a Dodge in Germany. Same as going off roading... You can't even take basic forest roads without getting a ticket... There is always someone that will call the cops on you. I was lucky enough durring my time in the airforce and drove unimogs, vw syncros and g wagons at the excersice grounds :)
Btw, met a guy on a road trip from California the other day and we couldn't say enough good things about your campers!

I like the extra storage between camper and cab. I dislike having to remove camp chairs and other odds and ends stored inside the camper when I'm making a short stop.

Seeing how how good the flatbed and camper look makes me think about the new Nissan with Cummins 5.0 L V8. I don't need a new Ram's 900 ft lb of torque to haul a 1200 lb camper.

Yep, I'm still convinced this is my "ideal" layout. The side-entry and interior layout of the flatbed models just makes SO MUCH sense to me. If/when I ever start another project, this would be the direction I'd prefer.

I like the boxes on the flatbed as well. For me, with only two travelers, it makes a lot more sense to use boxes on the flat bed instead of an extended cab, etc. (similar overall length but shorter cab).

It would be nice to make the passenger side box big enough to house a fridge on a slide (tembo tusk slide and drop down). Extra fridge powered from the truck and accessible from the outside and usable when the camper is in basecamp mode.

Is the Nissan's rearend full floating? We have the auto show coming in December here. I'm looking forward to seeing one hopefully.
