G9 vs. LX3 vs. D Lux 3

What's the honest choice between the three??? My Dad wants one of the three, and can't decide which one. He's an old school photographer and doesn't want to lug a DSLR because it harkens back to his old days.

I was pushing for the G9 because I have one but in reading about the other two one maybe better than the other. They all seem to the basics the same e.g. ISO settings, Ap settings and such.

But which one does it all. I leave it in all of your capable hands, as the wealth of knowledge on this site is priceless.
