Hello I need help.
I recently purchased a Garmin 60C off of eBay. It came with Trip and Way point manager and Metro Guide 4. I wanted a topo program so I picked one up from the local shop and up lorded the program. Well it down loaded a new program Base Camp to mange the info. Cool. The issue I am now having is I want to up load the topo maps on to my 60C but I do not have enough memory. I would like to delete the street map on the 60C and replace it with the topo but I can not figger out how to delete the map on their now so I have room for the topo map.
Can some one help me? The help option on the computer program is useless.
Thank You

usually the gps simply overwrites the existing in the memory on the unit-

if your trying to load too many maps for the unit it will simply do nothing.

Check on your unit how much memory you have

In mapsource when you highlight the areas of the map you want, it also shows how much memory it will take up.

800mb of topo will not fit on 56mb gps

It's always just overwritten what was there before for me. I suspect your problem is you just dont have a big enough memory card, those topo maps take up a lot of space. I have a 4Gb card for my 60Csx and I can only fit VA and NC Topo's on it.

Thank You Guys

I have another question that the help Option will not answer.
Can I attach my lap top to 60c and use the lap top as a screen and get real time location and info. Instead of the small one on he GPS.
