I bought a 1990 lwb 1.5 years ago with grand plans of making it a cool camping, mountain biking, road tripping vehicle for the wife and I. Well with a little one showing up any day and list as long as my arm of things to still do to the truck, and the fact that it has no airbags, and no abs. Im thinking of selling it and moving to gen 3. Im a little more realalistic about what I'm going to do with it (no crawling or crazy stuff mostly dirt roads) and having ownd an 80 series lc I miss some of the modern convinces of a newer vehicle. I know nothing about gen 3s as far as what years are good and what to look out for so any advice would be much appreciated.

The gen 2.5 is worth considering as well but harder to find, we love our 98, wife loves the heated leather seats most of all.

Second part of this equation is how much to sell my 90 for. It's I decent shape for its age I ha e spent about $5000 over the last year in getting it up to pay I know I'm going to lose money I just wonder how much

3rd Gen is fantastic rig. For trail use it's hard to beat. I think it could survive some rock crawling (Rubicon) with good armor.

Its pretty clean but still needs work. Getting new pitman and idler arm this weekend. I know I'll never get what I have into it back out of it.
