Gen 1 Tundra Front Wheel Bearings

I think my '03 Tundra has finally worn out a front wheel bearing at > 200k miles. Has anyone here done these recently? I've seen some Youtubers of course like CCN work on them and recommend OEM parts but I'd to know if there are any other decent options for aftermarket assemblies already pressed together making my job much easier...

I haven’t done it myself, but it seems like a very challenging task.

He offers assembled versions with OEM bearings.

I've ordered parts from Lance and highly recommend him.

Thanks for the tips on this one guys. After youtubing it and seeing what a pain in the a@* it is i think i will order from him. I'm researching the whole ball joint change though. I know my 2003 has the smaller lower ball joints. But is buying later-model lower control arms with the ball joint already installed feasible since I'll be replacing the spindles anyway (do the later model lower control arms fit)? Did they change the upper ball joint size too? I just had all four ball joints replaced about a year ago but i was kicking myself for not just replacing the entire lower control arms with the bushings already installed, etc.

It’s easy to go down the rabbit hole once you start looking at replacing parts and wondering if you should upgrade…. This trick has >200k miles now but it still has some life in it.

AFAIK, yes the later lower control arms do fit as others have done the change over. I don’t think the upper ball joint changed as none of the aftermarket upper control arms have a year breakout. They are all the the same part number.

Yes, yes it is. Crazy how much you can change/fix…
