Any company makes generic pop tops out there?

Not model specific stuff but somehting that they sell by size.

Also I am curious to know if any company makes tracks, hinges struts for people who build their own pop tops.

I will be coming out with something in the coming months after testing. Insulated softside with composite ends and frp composite hardsided in the 120lb range. Lower frame kits will be availble as well with frp composite panels. Softsides will be first to market though

If you're in Australia a company called Styromax has a system that's popular for self builds

Have seen units constructed out of pickup bed fiberglass tonneau covers. Hinges, struts already engineered into product

Yeah, I have looked at this idea too. Only part that is hard is figuring out how to make the sides (soft or hard) that are easily setup and are weatherproof.

you might want to look into replacement VW Westphalia canvas soft sides and build around that. There are a few companies that make them.

If you mean the tent portion you could make your own with a sewing machine. Sailrite has a lot of how to videos on YouTube amongst other resources.

hahaha... I do a lot of my own fab work but sewing is not one of them, nor am I interested in learning. Give me something to weld and I am happy!

Have you looked around for local shops? I know where I live there’s a marine canvas shop and some people in craigslist.
