GenRight has done it again! Jeep XJ Safari Tank 28 Gallons!

Just picked up my daughters XJ with GenRights New XJ tank.
Its awesome! aluminum Tank and a 3/16 steel skid and 28 gallons of fuel capacity:Wow1:

Really happy with the fit and finish.

I can't really tell from the pic, does it hang lower than the OEM tank?

Does the exhuast need to be rerouted?

My XJ is lifted 4.5", so I could handle the loss of an inch or so, especially with the 3/16" plate on the bottom!

If my XJ doesn't sell, I'll be looking into one. Last Sept. on my two week jaunt through CO there was more than one time I rolled into the gas station on 'fumes':snorkel:

When you put 19+ gallons into the stock 20 gallon tank, it's cutting it to close!

And I don't like carrying a Gerry can inside.:coffeedrink:

I have an LJ safari and when My friend and I opened it we about cried......... it was one of the most beautiful things we had ever seen crafted!

I feel kind of dumb for not being able to find this tank on their site :/ all i can find is the XJ Crawler 25 gallon tank....

Thats the one but after it was said and done it came out to 28 gallons! Its a thing of beauty I had the LJ Safari tank and loved it also.

When you put 19+ gallons into the stock 20 gallon tank, it's cutting it to close!

Filled up mine last week after driving it for a couple days with the low fuel light on and put 20.3 gallons in it. I almost crapped my pants.

You'll love the extra mileage I have a 32 gallon tank in my XJ, hangs lower than stock but I run 5" of lift and 35's so it's not really an issue

I wish my low fuel light worked, I've had it where the gauge doesn't even recognize that there is fuel in the tank...no light ever came on.. I could use one of these tanks though, wonder if we could get a expo or Jeep Forum discounted price...

Brown Davis, I think there are 3 makers of long range tanks for XJs in Australia. I got mine second hand for $250.
